ACAP residency week exceeded my expectations with the amazing guest speakers and field trips! I had never considered accounting or business as careers I’d pursue. After ACAP, my perspective on accounting and business drastically changed. I highly recommend this program to students interested in business, and students who aren’t interested in business!

2023 Residency Week Testimonials

I would first like to thank you for all the wonderful work that you have done and continue to do for ACAP Seattle and for me and my fellow ACAP alumni. After participating in this past summer's ACAP program at the University of Washington's campus, I can truly say it was a life-changing experience that I'll never forget. The valuable knowledge, resources, and expansive network I gained from my week spent in the ACAP program is truly invaluable to me. Without this experience, I would have never learned what I wanted for myself and my future and I would not have felt supported to make these huge and scary steps towards the future I want. As the director of ACAP, I know that it was thanks to your efforts that I and every other student at ACAP were able to have such an educational and unforgettable experience that we are all extremely grateful for.

2022 Residency Week Testimonials

It was overall fun and I got to learn a lot more about accounting. Coming into this I was kinda scared to learn and how it was going to be, but I believe that accounting will be my second choice in my career.

I thought it was very informational and we learned a lot about what accounting would be like as a profession and there was also a lot of useful information about general business for those who don’t think accounting is the path for them. Overall a very positive and useful experience.

ACAP was the highlight of my summer and I love the friends that I made here. The networking opportunities are great and so are the mentorship opportunities.

This program was very helpful as an introduction to accounting. I learned that accounting was a very stable occupation and has very straightforward learning. After this program, I have heavily considered majoring in accounting but have not fully decided. This is because I still have time to explore other occupations. However, this camp was a very good introduction to accounting and has made me consider it as a career.

We started out meeting our dorm members and then we met everyone else. Later we met everyone else and started making connections. Then we did fun activities and lectures. Like scavenger hunts to personal brand. Then we went to an accounting firm. Overall it was very fun.

ACAP really made me make connections with business professionals that I hope to facilitate in the future. I made a small group of friends that I know will last. I’m glad I did ACAP because despite the fact I didn’t know if I wanted to be an accountant but now I know.

It was a great experience, piqued my interest in accounting.

The ACAP program was a very fun and informative program. I’d totally vouch for this program in terms of learning about business and accounting as well as self-development. I had such a fun time and learned so much that I never thought I’d learn without being here. Attending my dream college for a week and learning about the campus along with taking off-campus trips has given us the opportunity to grow in many different ways. I love this program and can’t wait to see how much it grows in the future.

ACAP was a really interesting and informative program that I really enjoyed. Your really get presented with many connections that could help with your future and your career. I think that it is definitely something to apply to even if you’re not sure about accounting.

ACAP is an amazing program, I learned so much about myself during the program and I was able to learn more about business and accounting. I was also able to make really good connections to expand my network so hopefully in the future they can help me out. I will also recommend the ACAP to my club DECA, so they explore more about business.

I really enjoyed this week. The people I met, the activities, the lectures were really interesting and awesome to learn about. I have now gained a new perspective on many differences things taught here that will follow me through the rest of my life.
